I was diagnosed with ADD shortly after my son was diagnosed with ADHD. It was an "Ah Ha!" moment for me. It explained why I always felt scattered and disorganized no matter how hard I tried.
Having 4 kids to keep track of schedules for as well as my own schedule has not necessarily been easy. I wouldn't change it for the world! Between 4-H, FFA, Girl Scouts, Dance Classes and everything else, we don't slow down much. But I have found ideas I have put into practice that help. I have created this space for you so I can share what I have learned with you. I hope you will let me know what you have found that has helped bring order to disorder in life!
Do you feel like you are always an unorganized scatter-brained mess? I used to think that I was one of the only ones that was scrambling to keep up. But that is so not true! I want to help you bring a little order to the disorder. My hope is that I can help you see that a perfect house isn't always a happy house.
There are many times that life experiences need to come first, before the dishes. And there is Always dishes! And laundry, and housework... Yes, these things are important too. I will help you find a way to quickly get to those tasks you don't like to do so you have more time to do what you love to do.
Meet my "team"
You guessed it! My team is my family. Our crazy household of 6 consists of my hubby Kevin and our 4 kids: Ashley, Austen, Madison and Mackenzie.
I could not do life without this crazy bunch!
I am chief cook and bottle washer (so many reusable water bottles around here!). I am trying to make sure we live our best life while still taking care of the everyday things in life that need to be done. Squirrel!
Oh yeah, and trying not to have too many "squirrel" moments while doing it!
My partner in this crazy life. We keep each other balanced. He is super smart and comes up with great ideas. His happy place is the middle of nowhere in a forest with a pack on his back and no one around.
Ashley has Cerebral Palsy, but don't let that sweet smile fool you... she's working on a memoir that is a tell all... "My mom said this and my aunt said that". We will all be in trouble when that happens!
Smart and a total scatter-brain like me. Working on that "adulting" thing.
Life is Dance and Dance is Life for this one! Ballet, tap, acro, lyrical, ballet, ASL dance... Always dancing.
She may be little, but boy does she act big! She keeps us on our toes with her constant comments and ideas.
